About Josh Golder and True Guts

When Josh Golder was 14 years old, he was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. He had never heard of the disease and the information available about the disease was limited. Josh endured many different trials of medications to find the right one that worked for him. After going through such an arduous process, Josh decided he wanted to make a difference. With that Josh decided to produce True Guts, a documentary film about living with and struggling with Crohn's Disease. The film is a motivational tool designed to help people with Crohn's Disease realize that just because they have the disease, doesn’t mean they can’t achieve great success their life. In the film, Josh poignantly states, "Whenever you get an opportunity to do something that will lead to a better more rewarding life, make sure you jump on it one hundred percent." True Guts was produced in 2006, and in 2007 it won two major awards. The Freddies, are the Oscars of the health care industry, and True Guts won best medical film of the year! True Guts has touched the lives of so many people, a community has formed.
Now Josh wants to use his influence and the True Guts community to help as many people as he can. Josh knows how difficult it can be to find the right medicine to help. With that in mind he has designed this site and a site on Remicade to help people understand each drug through real life stories of people who have tried each medication. Please log onto our website and share your stories or ask people questions. Together we can help each other find the right path and live life to the fullest.

Thanks Josh
Hey Josh,
Thank you so much for starting this forum. I really like the set up of it. I look forward to talking to people on here. It feels good to know that there are other people out there with the same questions that I have. It's nice to feel a part of a community.

The forum is a great idea that brings out many latent problems ( and frustrations) for all to share. Continue to enjoy the plaudits !

Words from Brazil
Hi everyone!
First, sorry for my English, I'm Brazilian and so will have some errors here. I don't have Crohn's disease but I would like to share some words.
I knew Josh and some of his friends 2 years ago during the new years here in Brazil. At the first moment I thought. "hey, this guy is cool, let's drink and have fun". And we all had much fun. But the thing was not about only fun, the next day we met again and talked a lot about our lives and experiences, and he told me about True Guts, I became very curious, watched the film, read the newsletter, became member of the sites,. And I can tell you now, what you guys do helping each other is amazing. I wish we have initiatives like that here, and I hope True Guts arrive in Brazil some day.
Today I consider Josh one of my biggest friends, even far, I wish all the luck for this project, for his team and for this community. If I can help one day with anything, I will be here ready.
"Give a fish for a man, and he will have food for one day. Teach him how to fish, and he will have food for the life."
Excited for Dream's film!!! Peace!

Thanks Josh, im 19 and been suffering for 3 years, my consulant told me about True Guts, been trying to find it here in shops in the London-UK for months and months till my consulant told me to get it online. I think its great how your raising awareness of crohns and uc, it infuriates me that people think its just a spot of iritable bowel. if only it was, i believe crohns will kill me one day, it already nearly has, i went down to 5 and a half stne and had my organs started to fail along with a heart attack. its just so underestimated and in the UK its not recognised in society as a chronic illness, so THANK U again, im defintly gonna send a copy of the dvd to my local news paper and the local Primary Care Trust who are trying to cancel fundin for drugs for crhns and UC bcause aparently theres no evidence tha the drugs work...... ridiculous..!!!!!!!
